Our Story
Mumbaistockholm was founded by Cecilia Kores in a hotel room in India in 2014. Today, all jewelry is made by goldsmiths and stone setters in Sweden from recycled gold, natural diamonds and precious stones. The goal is to inspire women and men to build a personal jewelry collection that lasts a lifetime.
Mumbaistockholm is most known for its delicate, minimalist diamond jewelry and colourful gemstone rings that are made to stack with each other. To this day, the company has never taken in capital but has grown organically.
Designer & Founder
Cecilia Kores, 34, is the business student who, aged 24, traveled to India and fell completely in love. With SEK 2,000 left of her pocket money, she created a little anklet in silver. The same evening, she registered the jewelry brand Mumbaistockholm from her hotel room.
When she arrived back home to Sweden, she was apprenticed as a goldsmith. Until this day, Cecilia still designs all the jewelry for Mumbaistockholm.
Today she is also the host of Sweden's only podcast about jewelry; Smyckespodden and The Jewelry Podcast, that she founded in 2021. In Nov 2023, her two podcasts were picked up in an article by the New York Times.
