Guide - Our Diamond Qualities
In our larger diamond rings, we offer you the opportunity to choose quality of the diamond, so you can select the diamond that suits you best.
In our other rings, we use the highest quality of diamond as our standard.
Good, High or Very High Quality
Diamonds can be a real jungle. To make it easy to understand, we have named our three standard qualities Good, High and Very High Quality.
All are common diamond qualities for jewelry made in Sweden.
We can also offer higher qualities, such as D-E (River) or VVS/Fl, please contact us for a quote.
Good Quality
Color: H/Wesselton - near colourless
Clarity: Slightly Included (SI) - inclusions that can be seen with the naked eye upon careful investigation
For you:
For you who are satisfied with a diamond that looks white and sparkling! It doesn't have to be more complicated than this. You may prefer to go up in size (carat) rather than up in quality. You are not disturbed by possibly being able to discern an inclusion if you look really closely - it rather makes the diamond more personal!
In the picture you can see inclusions as two small black dots on the outer edges - do you see them? When the stone is set in a piece of jewelry, it will likely be very difficult to see them.
High Quality
Color: F-G/Top Wesselton - colourless to near colourless
Clarity: Slightly Included (SI) - inclusions that can be seen with the naked eye upon careful investigation.
For you:
For you who prefer to go up a notch in color, so that the diamond becomes really white and crisp. You prefer to go up in size (carat) rather than up in clarity, and don't mind possibly being able to spot an inclusion if you look really closely - it actually makes the diamond more personal!
In the picture you can see a very fine diamond - it only has one inclusion that looks like a black dot on the outer edge. Can you see it?
Very High Quality
Color: FG/Top Wesselton - colourless to near colourless
Clarity: Very Slightly Included (VS) - inclusions only visible at 10x magnification. The inclusions cannot be seen with the naked eye.
For you:
For you who want an exceptionally fine diamond! You want it to be rare white and crisp - and to be able to investigate your sparkling diamond over and over again without being able to discern a single impurity.
