The intensity of the emerald is hard to beat. Many describe the green colour of the emerald as "electric" - and when you see an emerald in real life, you'll probably agree!

The emerald is a hard gemstone - but is nevertheless very fragile. Even though its surface doesn't easily get scratched, it has many inclusions and it's easy to chip its edges. So wear your emerald with care. The more protected the setting is, as in Astrid for example, the better!
