The ring has a beautiful vintage feel thanks to the milgrain detailing – the tiny gold dots often seen in jewelry saved from the turn of the last century.
Antique diamonds have a completely unique charm that cannot be compared with today's perfectly cut diamonds. They often have a warmer colour hue than we see in the white diamonds of today.

About Antique Diamonds:
All natural diamonds are billions of years old – but if they were cut before 1940, they are called antique-cut diamonds.
At that time, they were cut by hand, and the diamonds were cut to sparkle most beautifully in the light available then – candlelight. This gave them a completely unique charm that cannot be compared with today's perfectly cut diamonds.
The cutting technique to create a round antique diamond was invented in the 1870’s, and is now known under the name Old European Cut.
Uniqueness
Antique diamonds do not have perfect color, clarity, or cut by modern standards, and often come in odd carats. So the four Cs – Carat, Cut, Clarity & Colour – are not really applicable here. But you get an important 5th C: Charm! We love their warm hue and special sparkle.
An antique diamond is an exceptionally sustainable choice of gemstone. An antique diamond does not lead to any new environmental impact in the mining process or in other parts of the production chain. This is in contrast to the natural diamond – as well as the synthetic diamond industry.

What is an antique diamond? Five quick facts:

💎 Most of them have a history of having been used in jewelry before, and taken out of old jewelry. They are therefore naturally recycled!
💎 Antique diamonds often have a warmer color than "perfect white," modern, laser-cut diamonds.
💎 Because it was cut before modern technology was developed to cut perfect angles, every antique diamond is unique. No two are alike!

1.5 mm ring band
We handpick your antique diamond and select it for its unique characteristics. We make trade-offs between carat size, the quality of the cut and shimmer, the diamond's color and inclusions. What Cecilia looks for are the diamonds that have "it"! If you want, you can approve the diamond based on a picture first.
We only use natural, conflict-free diamonds and gemstones. Diamonds are ranked 10 (highest) on the Mohs hardness scale. They are extremely hard and durable and will withstand daily wear for many years to come.
Size and fit:
This is a very comfortable ring, and you can take your usual ring size, or the size just below if you want the ring to "spin" less around your finger.

De flesta fingrar förändras allteftersom vi går genom livet. Vi är stolta över vårt team av förstklassiga hantverkare som kan ändra storlek på i stort sett alla ringar - till och med evighetsringar (alliansringar)! Kom ihåg bara att en storleksändring är ett relativt stort ingrepp, och medför därför en kostnad för guldsmedens arbete.

När ditt smycke är färdigt i vår ateljé går det igenom en noggrann kvalitetskontroll innan vi varsamt packar det i ett fint paket.
Smycket skickas fullt försäkrat till ditt utlämningsställe. Därefter hämtar du själv ut ditt paket tillsammans med din legitimation.
Skräddarsytt
Då alla våra smycken görs i rätt guldfärg, rätt storlek och med unika val av ädelstenar för varje kund, erbjuder vi ingen returrätt.
Skulle du vara osäker när du får hem ditt nya smycke, kontakta alltid oss inom en vecka efter att du tog emot det. Beroende på ditt smycke ser vi då vilka möjligheter som finns till ändringar.
