An incredibly beautiful solitaire ring that exudes old-school glamour. The ring is adorned with a stunning antique-cut diamond.
The wonderful milgrain decoration of small gold dots adds a subtle shimmer to the ring band. Milgrain decor was common in jewelry around the turn of the last century (18-1900).
We handpick each antique diamond and select them for their unique characteristics. We look at the carat size, the sparkle, the quality of the cut, the colour and the clarity. What Cecilia looks for is the diamond that have "it"!
The ring in the picture has a 0.57 CT antique cut diamond with color "M" and clarity "SI".
About Antique Diamonds
An antique diamond is a diamond that was cut between 1870 and 1940. Almost all of them are taken from old jewelry and thus come from the secondary market.
Antique diamonds are recognizable by their often warm colors - in the past, diamonds in jewelry were rarely dazzlingly white like they are today. Because they were cut by hand before modern technology was invented, they are more unique than today's precision-cut diamonds. The modern, round brilliant cut has perfect angles to maximize sparkle and light reflection (hence the name brilliant cut). It is said that antique diamonds were cut to sparkle most beautifully in the light of candlelight - as it was in the evening that people wore their diamonds.
The understated sparkle of antique diamonds is definitely something special. If you want a diamond with a subtle, vintage shimmer - then the antique diamond is probably your dream gemstone!

Delivery - How It Works
When your jewelry piece is finished in our studio, it goes through a thorough quality control before we carefully pack it in a beautiful package.
The jewelry is then shipped to you, fully insured to your delivery point. You then pick up your package together with your ID.

As all our jewelry is made in a specific gold colour, a specific size and with unique choices of gemstones for each customer, we offer no right of return.
